Program Objectives
The A.A.F.C. is run by local dentists who are eager to meet the needs of their colleagues in this up and coming field.
Qualifies for 21 CE credits from the NJ state board of dentistry.
History, safety, mechanism of action, and preparation of Dermal Fillers and Neurotoxins.
Pharmacological effects and contraindications, including potential drug interactions.
Management of complications.
Training in facial anatomy and physiology as it applies to facial aesthetics including:
Accurate documentation including drug, dosage and sites of injections
Patient Selection including:
Dermal Fillers Administration
Basic Hands-On Training
- Understand facial fillers and storage techniques
- Learn what kind of wrinkles can be improved by facial fillers
- Local anesthesia including specific dental blocks and infiltration
- Discuss pros and cons of most dermal fillers including fillers on the horizon
- Live Model demonstration
- Hands on training/ live models- to be provided by attendee

Neurotoxin Administration
Basic Hands-On Training

- Understand storage, reconstitution and injection techniques
- Know the difference between dynamic and static wrinkles
- Botulinium toxin treatment of TMJ syndrome and bruxism
- Live model demonstration
- Hands on training/ live models- to be provided by attendee

- A model is required for each day (can be the same person) We suggest that the model be a staff member.

Our next course is November 7-8, 2024 at St. Peter's University in Jersey City, NJPlease note: Registration will not be accepted without payment of tuition, in full. You will receive written confirmation from our office when we receive payment. Until you receive this confirmation, please do not assume you are registered for the course. If you have not received a confirmation within 10 days, please contact us. Your registration is not finalized until you receive this written confirmation from our office. We are not responsible for the accommodation of unconfirmed registrations in the event that the maximum number of attendees has been reached.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received (not postmarked) in writing via email or postal mail. Cancellation Policy must be strictly enforced since workshops require a great deal of planning and preparation. A refund will be given, less a $200.00 processing fee, if cancelled 21 days prior to the start of the workshop. Any cancellation less than 21 days will not qualify for a refund. Since a minimum number of registrants are necessary for each course if we do not meet this minimum, or for any other reason beyond our control the course is cancelled or postponed, registration fee will be refunded in full. The AAFC is not responsible for deposits to hotels, non-refundable airline tickets or fees associated with necessary changes.
Private Courses Some of you may still feel the need for some additional support to build your confidence or to perfect your techniques. You may feel the need for additional hands-on practice and that is what the beginner support class will provide. Our advanced classes are for those who are feeling comfortable and confident in their injection techniques and want to be able to offer more procedures to their patients.
The private course can be scheduled at an hourly fee. Private courses can be scheduled at a time convenient for the attendee. Product cost will depend on what techniques you choose to practice. You are required to bring an appropriate model for the areas you wish to inject. Please note that tuition is due at time of registration and that there are no refunds on tuition for a class cancelled less than 1 week before the scheduled date.
